Utah Mining Association members enjoy a variety of events throughout the year. These events provide an opportunity for UMA members to network, learn, and to support Utah’s mining industry. Annual events also provide many opportunities to promote your business through sponsorships, speaking roles, or exhibits.

Mining Education Golf Tournament

Soldier Hollow Golf Course, Midway

Enjoy a day of golf at one of Utah’s premier courses and support the Utah Mining Association’s education efforts! Utah Mining Association’s Education Golf Tournament is not only a fantastic opportunity for team building and networking with other professionals in the mining industry, but it is also the primary annual fundraising event for our Mining Ambassador and other education and outreach programs. All golf entry fees, extras, and raffle ticket sales go directly toward fulfilling UMA’s education mission.

Fly Fishing Tournament

Friday, July 17, 2026

Upper Provo River, Park City, Utah

Enjoy a beautiful day on the river! We’ll pair your team of up to three with a professional fly-fishing guide who will lead you to the perfect fishing spot and help you learn to fish, or to improve your fly-fishing techniques. Limited to 15 anglers, this event is the ideal opportunity to network with employees, clients, and prospective customers.
